Shortly after the referendum and declaration of Bosnia and Herzegovina\u2019s independence from Yugoslavia, a war broke out, ultimately claiming around 100,000 lives.
\u201cMIRAGE \u201d is a film whose plot follows a resident of Kozarac, a small town in the municipality of Prijedor in the northwest of Bosnia and Herzegovina and entity of Republika Srpska, where over the last 30 years, the town has embraced narratives of the genocide that targeted its community. In addition, it is becoming a symbol of reconstruction and post-war prosperity, yet simultaneously standing for usurpation of the minority returnee population by the entity government.\u201d
This partly monographic film centers on man as the backbone of two juxtaposing contexts within the same climate. It depicts the challenges that the modern man faces, in the roles of both a returnee and an architect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
