Routes to Freedom represent the routes that a few residents of Kozarac used in May 1992 to gain freedom.
24\/05\/1992 the attack of JNA military formations, as well as police structures on this place began with a call to the civilian population to surrender, in order to be taken to some of the intended detention rooms. For the majority of the population, it was the Trnopolje concentration camp.
However, there were a few residents who decided to try their luck in the depths of the Kozara mountain, where in the next two to three months they will plan a route to the free territories north of Kozarac.
Be\u0161lagi\u0107 documented and presented three cases - three groups of people. Two that succeeded in their goal and one that was executed along the way and exhumed in 2003 (red dotted line).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
